10 sessions you'll feel the difference, in
20 you'll see the difference,
in
30 you'll have a new body."

What
is pilates method?
Pilates
is a body conditioning method which works differently
from other techniques. By aiming at deep postural muscles,
Pilates builds strength from within, re-balancing the
body and realigning it correctly. This method aims at
re-shaping your body (longer, thinner and more toned).
Your posture will be improved, finding the right
balance between strength and flexibility, and its also
a very good way to get rid of stress and tension.
Advantages
of the method :
The
result is a balanced body which is strong and supple,
a flat stomach, balanced legs and a strong back. The
effects are more than purely physical, you will feel
revitalised, relaxed, confident and more flexible –
a new sensation of well being!

to practice pilates ?
Exercices
are very fun and may be done either on mat or on apparatus.
Each exercise is built around eight key elements:

performance and avoid injury to people who have
never done any sport. Its slow and controlled
approach gives long term results – and it is particularly
recommended for people suffering from back problems,

wanting to improve their fitness, posture and appearance

Who
was Joseph Pilates?
The
method was developed by Joseph Pilates, born in 1880
in Germany. A fragile child, he became interested in
physical fitness programmes to improve his body image.
He studied many different techniques and formulated
a system which worked for his own body – which became
known as the Pilates method.
Having
moved to New York in the 1920’s, his studio rapidly
attracted the city’s elite (actors, dancers and athletes
finding that his exercises improved and completed their
traditional programme – building strength without adding
volume, balancing this strength with flexibility, and
reaching perfect harmony between body and spirit. Pilates
still attracts the emblematic figures of the world
of the arts and professional sport.
Pilates
is being more and more used to complete the work of
physiotherapists and osteopaths.
